Karaoke and drinking

Sorry i havent been able to update for a little, my computer was out of action because i couldnt get it connected to the internet at my host families house. The last few days have all be orientation and meeting my host family, plus throw in some drinking here and there. Last thursday a bunch of friends and I went to Karaoke and it was awesome. You can get nomihodai where you get unlimited drinks with 2 hours of karaoke. So we had a blast. Friday I met my host family they are awesome, I have a little host brother named Sota and he is CUTE AS HELL! He doesnt understand that I do not speak japanese and will just keep talking to me even though i dont respond. He loves the new verison of power rangers here and we play with his toys a bunch. Also I showed him AVATAR:the last airbender because i have it on my comp and he loved it haha. I am going to join the american football team at my school, so I am really excited about that. They use a smaller ball here so its really easy to catch and throw. Other then that not much has happened school starts soon so im sure thats when this blog will get interesting!

2 days in tokyo

SOOO I just finished my first 2 days in Tokyo. They were amazing. The first day I landed at about 430 pm at Narita International Airport. It was hectic there soooo many people were landing and trying to get home. When I met up with the CIEE student helpers I was amazed at their english considering most of them were only 18. To put it in perspective it was WAY better then my Russian and Ive taken about 5 years of it. After I got my bags and shipped them of to my host family we got on a bus and were sent to our first hotel. About my host family, I have a Dad, a Mom, and a 4 year old little boy. I was given a picture of them and they sooo really awesome haha. They dont look like the speak much english but i am totally fine with that because i want to learn the language. Ok, back to the hotel. At the hotel I met up with some guys and on the way to our rooms we saw a Sapporo vending machine. So natuarally I bought a beer out of it haha. That night for dinner we took a bus to a mall. I had some soy sause based ramen and it was amazing. After the mall i literally put my head on my pillow and passed out. Today I had 4 hours of orientation and took a our of the campus, the campus is really small but I saw 4 guys with LAX sticks and a poster for the football team I am very excited. After orientation we went to the Hub. Which is an english bar is the Shinjuku part of Tokyo. We had a lot of fun, if anyone looks at a train map it looks like the most complicated thing in the world but it was WAY to easy for it to be fun. But on my commuter pass I have a prepaid stop at in Shinjuku which is awesome cause it comes alive at night. Also at HUB they sell liters of beer and they were delicious. haha. Well not im sitting in my room writing waiting to go buy my cell phone tomorrow. So for now,

Konbanwa Sayonara!!!

The days before my trip

Well here it is, im finally leaving. Its kind of a mixed bag right now. I am more excited for this trip than anything in my life, but im terrified by the fact that there is a language barrier and i wont know anyone there. All of that aside though i cant wait to start this new chapter in my life and i know that it will be totally life changing and an opportunity i know i will be happy i took advantage of. But on a different note i get to go watch Texas play Wyoming on saturday so that will be a blast. Well if anyone will actually read this i will update randomly and post pictures so be excited!
